Newark Mayor Cory Booker is running in a special general election on October 16th for the U.S. Senate seat formerly held by the late Frank Lautenberg, D-N.J., who died in June. Booker is the heavy favorite against Republican Steve Lonegan.
The Cory Booker for Senate committee reported receipts of $2,852,907 and disbursements of $4,279,282 from 7/25 to 9/26, leaving $2,632,115 cash on hand as of 9/25. For the election so far, Booker has raised over $11 million and spent $8.8 million.
The committee raised $219,470 in small contributions of $200 or less. The committee raised $2.1 million from those giving more than $200. PACs and other political committees gave $225,275.
