Athens Law Director Pat Lang (D) announced Wednesday he will run in Ohio’s 15th district, where freshman Rep. Steve Stivers (R) filed to seek re-election.
“We can do better,” Lang said in a statement. “We can start by ensuring a strong middle class, protecting Medicare for seniors and creating jobs. That’s why I’m running for Congress.”
Lang’s campaign is an uphill venture in the redrawn district, which sprawls from West Columbus to Lang’s home county near the West Virginia border.
