Rep. Mo Brooks swears he reads local papers. After the Alabama Republican was quoted by the Decatur Daily saying he reads mostly D.C.-based newspapers, his staff let us know that’s not true.
“Congressman Brooks reads many local Alabama newspapers on a daily basis,” Brooks spokeswoman Skyla Freeman assured us.
His public disbursement forms also show subscriptions to Decatur Daily and his hometown paper, the Huntsville Times.
Roll Call has launched a new feature, Hill Navigator, to advise congressional staffers and would-be staffers on how to manage workplace issues on Capitol Hill. Please send us your questions anything from office etiquette, to handling awkward moments, to what happens when the work life gets too personal. Submissions will be treated anonymously.
