“Every member of our team has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to Indiana, and they have a proven track record of success,” Young said in a statement. “Their honest advice was invaluable last cycle, and I know that it will be helpful again in this year’s crucial election. Phil Scollo, a Democratic businessman facing an uphill challenge against freshman Rep. Tom Marino (R-Pa.), recently announced his campaign team.
All three of the members of the new team once worked with former Rep. Christopher Carney (D), who represented the 10th district for two terms until Marino unseated him in 2010.
Vincent Rongione is managing the campaign, Andrew Eldredge-Martin is the media consultant, and Ben Franks is political director. Rongione managed Carney’s re-election in 2008, Eldredge-Martin managed Carney’s 2006 race, when he defeated then-Rep. Don Sherwood (R), and Franks served on Carney’s 2008 and 2010 campaigns, first as a field organizer and then as deputy political director.
