Rep. Linda Sánchez marked her 42nd birthday on Jan. 28, but she’s not done celebrating. At least her re-election team isn’t.
The California Democrat’s campaign is scheduled to host a birthday fundraiser Monday at the H Street Country Club on the trendy H Street corridor, according to the Sunlight Foundation’s Party Time blog.
The bar/mini-golf venue — dubbed on a flier for the event as “D.C.’s Finest Country Club/Where Your Handicap Doesn’t Matter” — is perhaps more well-known as a haven for fashion-forward hipsters and neighborhood residents than the typical crowd at a wine-and-cheese-plate political fundraiser.
No word on whether Sánchez will hit the mini-greens for the event. Suggested donations start at $1,000 for a “Birdie” and reach $5,000 for a “Hole-in-One.”
Rep. Bill Cassidy has his blood drawn by Alesha Barbour during a free hepatitis screening in the Rayburn House Office Building hosted by the Congressional Viral Hepatitis Caucus to recognize "National Viral Hepatitis Testing Day."
