Sen. Mike Crapo is about to dish out dating tips to teenagers.
The Idaho Republican is scheduled to appear at a middle school in Southeast Washington today to present a program about teen dating to students. But Crapo isn’t aiming to be the next Dr. Drew; he’ll help teach the “Love Is Not Abuse” program, which seeks to curtail violence in teenage dating.
Crapo is sponsor of a bill declaring February as National Teen Dating Violence Awareness and Prevention Month. The talk is part of a national campaign to derail teen dating abuse, and similar events are scheduled at schools throughout the country.
