Republican-friendly outside group American Crossroads on Wednesday sharply criticized Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz (Fla.) for being “negative.”
They dubbed her “Debbie Downer” and released a Web video set to a campy tune mocking her for her attacks on the GOP’s budget plan that dramatically overhauls Medicare. Among the lyrics, set to animation:
“She’s got all the grace of a punch in the face.”
In a release, the group said Wasserman Schultz “has become a gift that keeps giving to Republicans,” and American Crossroads president Steven Law called her “Nancy Pelosi without the charm.”
