Swing by the Library of Congress this afternoon to hear some live music by Grammy-winning children’s and folk singer Tom Chapin.
The ASCAP Foundation, a charity that supports American music creators, is hosting a concert for Members of Congress and their families. Songwriter and foundation President Paul Williams, best known for writing Kermit the Frog’s hit “The Rainbow Connection,” will host the event, and Rep. Howard Coble (R-N.C.) will speak. HOH hears that Rep. John Dingell (D-Mich.) is also expected to attend.
In addition to the concert, Williams will have an educational discussion with Chapin about the life of a songwriter and the challenges of writing for a young audience. The show begins at 4 p.m.
Roll Call has launched a new feature, Hill Navigator, to advise congressional staffers and would-be staffers on how to manage workplace issues on Capitol Hill. Please send us your questions anything from office etiquette, to handling awkward moments, to what happens when the work life gets too personal. Submissions will be treated anonymously.
