New York: Top Democrats Fete Owens at Hill Event

Attorney Bill Owens, the Democratic nominee in the special election to replace former Rep. John McHugh (R), slipped into Washington, D.C., last week for a Capitol Hill fundraiser, according to the Web site PolitickerNY.com. The fundraiser was sponsored by New York Sens. Charles Schumer (D) and Kirsten Gillibrand (D), Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee Chairman Chris Van Hollen (Md.), New York Reps. Joe Crowley (D) and Steve Israel (D), and Rep. Patrick Murphy (D-Pa.).
