An announcer in the 60-second radio spot accuses the Democratic House Members of making a dangerous experiment in health care reform.
If Barack Obama and the Democrats get their way, the federal government will make the decisions about your health care, says the announcer. And their plan costs a trillion dollars we dont have. You have to pay a new tax to keep your private insurance. Its too much, too fast.
The radio ads are primarily targeting Democrats in conservative districts, including many members of the Blue Dog Coalition.
Among the vulnerable freshmen being targeted are Democratic Reps. Bobby Bright (Ala.), Parker Griffith (Ala.), Betsy Markey (Colo.), Alan Grayson (Fla.), Suzanne Kosmas (Fla.), Walt Minnick (Idaho), Frank Kratovil (Md.), Mark Schauer (Mich.), Larry Kissell (N.C.), Harry Teague (N.M.), Steve Driehaus (Ohio), Mary Jo Kilroy (Ohio), Glenn Nye (Va.) and Tom Perriello (Va.).
