“I’m not a politician, I’m a businessman in northern Ohio who feels that perhaps we need businessmen in Washington instead of career politicians,” Ganley said.

Ganley isn’t expected to be much of a threat to Portman in the primary. National Republicans consider Portman to be their best bet to keep the seat of retiring Sen. George Voinovich in the GOP column.
