With a vote on one or more nonbinding resolutions opposing President Bushs decision to boost troop levels in Iraq likely a week away, Senate Democratic leaders are expected to use the delay to push back against tough White House rhetoric and attempt to build a bipartisan coalition on the issue, aides said Monday.
