Shattering the pace of any previous presidential campaign, a half-dozen White House candidates already have leapt out of the gates for 2008, either formally signaling their entry into what is shaping up to be a packed field or filing paperwork freeing them to begin fundraising.

Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.), in co-sponsoring legislation aimed at promoting breast cancer education?
