Parties Expect One-Seat Margins on Senate Panels

Informal negotiations between Senate Democratic and Republican leaders over the structure of the next Congress likely will result in a deal nearly identical to one used in the 108th Congress, giving Democrats one-seat committee majorities, Senate aides said Tuesday.
