With his “botched joke” about dumbos serving in Iraq, Sen. John Kerry (D-Mass.) may have joined Sen. George Allen (R-Va.) in becoming a (part-Jewish) former ’08 presidential hopeful. As Republicans pummeled Kerry and Allen aides beat the daylights out of a heckling blogger, we wondered: Who had a worse day Tuesday, Kerry or Allen? And whose job sucked more: that of Allen’s press staff, or Kerry’s?

Stier: Detecting a Bad Breast Cancer Bill

Who could blame hundreds of Members of Congress for joining with a colleague and breast cancer survivor, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.), in co-sponsoring legislation aimed at promoting breast cancer education? The problem, according to leading breast cancer scientists and advocacy groups, is the bill would do more harm than good. Read Full Article
