Even as Senate Democratic leaders said that chances of raising the minimum wage this year appear remote, Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-Tenn.) is taking another stab at getting Democrats to drop their objections to a House-passed trifecta bill that would reduce the estate tax, extend expiring tax provisions and hike the national minimum wage.
