Expert: Cunningham Had ‘Suicidal Ideation’

When U.S. District Court Judge Larry Burns convenes a hearing this Friday to determine the sentence of convicted ex-Rep. Duke Cunningham (R-Calif.), he will be deciding the fate of a man who is — according to testimonials submitted by the defense — a war hero, devoted family man, philanthropist and an opponent of bullying and homelessness as well as a walking catalogue of health problems who suffers from depression and potentially suicidal thoughts.
