Environment May Resonate as an Issue in Some 2006 Races

In recent election cycles, the environment has not been a big issue for the majority of American voters. Terrorism, the war in Iraq, the economy and high gasoline prices seem to have pushed environmental issues far down the nation’s policy agenda.
