Iraq war veteran Paul Hacketts (D) abrupt withdrawal from the Ohio Senate race late Monday sparked an outcry from some liberal activists and at least one group supporting candidates who are military veterans even though some Democratic leaders are privately relieved because they think it avoids a bloody primary.
