Democrats Put Money on New Oversight Plan

Unhappy with the level of legislative oversight being exercised by the Republican-controlled committees, Senate Democrats are beefing up their internal investigative abilities, launching a new Oversight and Accountability Project, including adding new staff and funding to the Democratic Policy Committee and providing a way for whistleblowers in the Bush administration and corporate America to bring forward cases of waste, fraud and abuse.
