New Tools, Attitude Brought to Probes

The Justice Department’s political corruption unit has launched an aggressive effort to better coordinate probes across several agencies, increased training in undercover and surveillance techniques for investigators, and pushed the envelope by pursuing what the unit’s top prosecutor calls “marginal cases.”
