Estate Tax Failure Could Raise Pressure for Deal

Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist (R-Tenn.) hopes that the expected defeat of a GOP plan to fully repeal the estate tax this week will help increase pressure on the two wings of his fractured party to work together, along with moderate Democrats, to craft a compromise later this summer, Senate GOP aides said.
