After finishing a roughly 90-minute, thumping performance Tuesday night at a fundraiser for Sen. Patrick Leahy (D-Vt.) and saying cheese for photos with dozens of bleary-eyed Deadheads and Leahy supporters, guitarist Bob Weir was hungry. That was around 12:30 a.m., when the manager of the Old Ebbitt Grill got a call at home saying “about 30 Grateful Dead people” are in the restaurant and they want food.

Who could blame hundreds of Members of Congress for joining with a colleague and breast cancer survivor, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-Fla.), in co-sponsoring legislation aimed at promoting breast cancer education?
