Bill on 527s Threatens to Silence Citizen Engagement

There is no question that the American people have lost their faith in their elected leaders in Washington, D.C. They increasingly believe that their government and future have fallen prey to the special interests with recent revelations coming out of Congress. As elected leaders, we must do everything we can to restore the people’s faith. But the 527 legislation pending in the House of Representatives this week is exactly the opposite of what this country needs, and the furthest thing from true campaign reform.
