A paid intern for Illinois Rep. John Shimkus (R) threw down with party-girl actress Lindsay Lohan at a hotel in Manhattan this weekend, according to a report. Not surprisingly for the starlet, the skirmish ended with the cops being called.
According to the New York Daily News, early Sunday morning, Christian LaBella, who has been a part-time employee in Shimkus' D.C. office since May 2012, left the club 1Oak with Lohan and another man. The trio went back to Lohan's hotel room at the W Hotel Union Square. Around 6 a.m. Lohan "discovered" LaBella had take pictures of her partying on his phone. Not liking what she saw, Lohan tried to swipe LaBella's camera in order to delete the pictures.
LaBella "got physical" trying to get his phone back and choked her from behind, according to the report. Lohan said that LaBella tried to flee the scene, but the clever actress pulled the fire alarm (probably annoying all the hotel's guests) and trapping LaBella in a stairwell. The cops found him later.
Dina Lohan, Lindsay's mother, claims that her daughter was "very shaken up" by the incident.
Both twenty-somethings will be charged with "low-level harassment violations," the Daily News said.
The Daily News reported that someone in Shimkus office gave the paper a statement via email that said: "While no one from Congressman Shimkus' office has been contacted by Mr. LaBella following his arrest, he has been an employee in the Congressman's Washington office. Obviously, the Congressman does not condone his actions.”
And now, for absolutely no reason, we present this video LaBella apparently made while running for president of his "business fraternity."
And, if you excuse us, we will now find a brick wall to knock our head against.
