Small Companies Struggle Under Act

When Congress passed the Sarbanes-Oxley Act in 2002, we got it mostly right. In the wake of the Enron and WorldCom accounting scandals, we acted deliberately and relatively swiftly to enact legislation that sought to reform corporate governance laws and provide investors with renewed confidence. Five years later, there is compelling evidence that the central provisions of the
Sarbanes-Oxley Act have resulted in meaningful steps forward and that investor confidence is restored.
