MPAA Adds Another Hill Player: Patrick Kilcur | Downtown Moves

Patrick Kilcur, most recently a Senate Republican floor assistant for Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., started his new gig at the Motion Picture Association of America on Monday, as vice president of government and regulatory affairs.

Kilcur, whose Senate service dates back to when the late Arlen Specter was a Republican, will report to Neil Fried at Hollywood's trade group. Former Sen. Christopher Dodd, D-Conn., of course, is the MPAA's big kahuna . Kilcur joins a recent spate of Capitol Hill staffers who've made the move downtown to the MPAA's 16th and I St. NW headquarters. Over the summer, Shanna Winters, a former Democratic House staffer for Reps. Eliot L. Engel of New York and former Rep. Howard Berman of California, joined as senior vice president of global policy .

And in mid-November, Ben Staub, a former aide for the House Judiciary Committee, joined the trade group as director of government and regulatory affairs. Hollywood's D.C. players, all!
